The Countdown Continues!

Well, here it is the middle of September already and the countdown continues!  Only 14 more days until our Vegas trip and there is still quite a bit to do.  Of course, the packing will be last minute but getting things like the out of country medical, seat assignments, etc are things that can be done now.  Oh well, the time will be here before we know it.

I managed to stitch this weekend - and on LINEN!!!!!  For all of you who know that I have never stitched on linen before know that this is a big milstone.  My youngest niece, Kaitlyn, asked me to stitch her name and my good friend, Jayne, gave LeeAnn and I some beautiful purple evenweave.  So, Thursday night, I began the task of remembering to stitch over two squares and the games began.  Well, last night, I finished her name and I am now going to add a couple of butterflies on it to finish it off.  I have decided to do the butterflies one over one to keep them smaller than the letters.   Pictures will soon follow - I promise!

Here's to everyone having a good week and Happy Stitching!

Oh yeah - Viva Las Vegas!

First off, I love the new autumn look on your blog :-)

Good for you for changing things up and trying your hand at stitching over 2! It's not too difficult, once you get going; right? Can't wait to see some pics!

You will be in my neck of the woods! You must stop by Stitcher's Paradise while you are here on Sahara, the best stitcher's shop around!

Congrats for trying something new. It doesn't take long for the brain to get used to stitching over 2.
