Beautiful Day!!

Well, what a beautiful day today is!  I sat outside this afternoon and enjoyed the warmth and sunshine and it was great!  After getting sunburned last weekend at our Cross-stitch retreat (my own doing), it was nice to be able to sit outside and enjoy nice sun.

Our retreat was wonderful, as always and I learned how to knit a frilly scarf.  (That was done outside for over 3 hrs with no sunscreen - hence - the sunburn).  I can't wait to to another one of those scarves and then to make others just for gifts.  I have not done much stitching since being back from a nice time away - but this week I will start up again.

Here's to everyone enjoying this weather and the hobbies that make them great!

Happy Easter Weekend to All!!!!

Well, it sure has been a little while since I posted last - time has just slipped away.  I haven't done alot of stitching of my own lately but I did do a few more squares on an afghan for a great friend and her little cutie pie.  I really have loved doing squares on Linen and can forsee other projects on linen in the future.  That and I do want to start knitting and seeing what great things I can do there!

I hope everyone enjoys this long weekend with family and friends and that every day is as great as you would like it to be!

Happy Easter everybody and Happy Stitching too!!!

Little House Needleworks

I thought I would post this pattern that I have done in the Little House Needlework - Hometown Holiday series.  It was cute to stitch and I have the next one ready to go!

Happy Valentine's Day to all and Happy Stitching!

A New Year and New Challenges

I know that everyone makes New Year's resolutions and sometimes they succeed and sometimes they don't.  I was almost going to make some of my own but then I decided to make a list of things that I know I can tackle and work at them one by one.  I know that things are never settled overnight and that with determination and perseverance - you can accomplish almost anything.  Here's hoping that will be true.

I am also trying to sell off some of my cross-stitch patterns and kits on a group I formed on Facebook:  Cross-stitch for Sale.  Let's face it - I have more than enough projects to last me several lifetimes and I hope that I can get rid of some of the extras and bring joy to someone else who loves the hobby just like I do.

Here's to making things happen for the better this year and I know that taking things one day at a time makes it easier to handle as well!

Happy New Year and Happy Stitching!
