I hope everyone had a great and happy holiday season and life for me has been pretty much the same. I am so pleased to say that my father is still doing well after he was diagnosed 3 years ago with Mesothelioma and we are grateful for each day.

My stitching mojo comes and goes but I don't beat myself up about it. It's hard sometimes bad use I have so many things I want to do but working on them and doing them are usually two different things. I guess we've all been there. I do want to be on here more and I hope to show some WIP's as well.

See you all again and happy stitching!!Trinahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05992277538747855928noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5403819973604955240.post-49813268317147825492017-05-22T18:35:00.000-07:002017-05-22T18:35:28.817-07:00Long time no blog!Well, has it been a while! Life has been busy but pretty much the same. I have been on a buying binge lately and must now live to be 150 to get most of my goodies done. But then again - isn't that the way of most of us. Only 2 more sleeps until our stitching retreat and sadly, it is the last year at Brentwood on the Beach. The owner has decided to not do anymore retreats so we are now on the lookout for another place for a getaway.

I will definitely post pictures after our last hoorah so for now..........Happy Stitching!Trinahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05992277538747855928noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5403819973604955240.post-52912958185620105972016-05-24T18:05:00.000-07:002016-05-24T18:05:03.048-07:00I'm Out Of Here!!!!

I hope you all rang in 2016 in a fun and safe way! My husband and I spent the evening with friends of ours who live right behind us - a tradition that that has gone on for many years. We snack on appetizers and watch tv or a movie and then enjoy the countdown. Always a fun time with these friends and we look forward to it every year. We get together with them on the weekends as well, and New Years is a special treat.

Everything has been going great with myself and my family and I am so positive for 2016 and all of the things it will bring. I know that I will handle any bumps in he road and I have so much support from everywhere I look and that makes it all ok.

I am going to make a small list of projects that I want to do this year and here will be some small projects as well. I am on holidays for 5 days so that will mean some much needed work on my HAED Wizard of Oz. it has fallen by the wayside with Christmas projects so it must be worked on for a little while.

I hope everyone has a wonderful New Year and Happy Stitching!!Trinahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05992277538747855928noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5403819973604955240.post-48052505882234935752015-10-11T08:45:00.000-07:002015-10-11T08:45:21.516-07:00Hellllooooo There!!!<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">Well, it has been a while since I have last posted and to say there has been much going on would be quite true. The best news of all is that my father has been told he is in remission from the Stage 4 Mesothelioma that he has!! We are so over the moon with this great news and both my parents are so happy and thankful for this great news! It has been a year of ups and downs for us all and we have seemed to weather everything as best as we can. We are all embracing any good news and are always making sure to enjoy every bit of life that we can!

Any other news seems quite dull after this one and everything else with me has been quite quiet and normal. I have been getting a little more progress done of my Wizard of Oz, a couple of Halloween ornaments have been whipped up and now I am looking towards getting things stitched and put together for Christmas. That will be here before any of us can blink - to say the least.

I hope everyone enjoys their Thanksgiving weekend and I am thankful for everything in my life and for everyone in my life!

Happy Thanksgiving and Happy Stitching!!Trinahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05992277538747855928noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5403819973604955240.post-24851130803735036402015-08-30T19:07:00.001-07:002015-08-30T19:10:16.896-07:00End of SummerIt is hard to believe that summer is slowly fading into the distance and that fall is just around the bend. It has been a fairly uneventful summer - busy but good nonetheless. I have managed to do some work on my Wizard of Oz and a few other small projects. I plan to do more this coming month on the Wizard since I am so close to the tower of the Emerald City.

Here's to everyone enjoying the last days of summer and let's have a great start to fall!

Happy stitching !
Oh, here's a progress picture of the Wizard.........
Things have been pretty much the same but still busy at times. Last month I had a wonderful time away at my Stitching retreat and my stitching mojo has been back big time. I have also recently vowed to myself that I am going to keep in my mind just how wonderful my life and people in it are. I am really making sure to remember that I have a lot to be thankful for and I am enjoying my time with the people in my life.

Our stitching group recently suffered a great loss of a great person and when that occurred it shook all of us and I saw just how precious life is. I want to enjoy my life, i want to be a positive person and I want others to enjoy being around me as well. I want to make a difference in both my life and others.

So with all of this I am enjoying the little things and doing my best to keep things in perspective. I hope to be able to maintain this positivity and I hope everyone I know and love will continue to love me as I am.

Happy weekend to all and Happy Stitching!!Trinahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05992277538747855928noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5403819973604955240.post-24790344947566683952015-04-30T13:52:00.000-07:002015-04-30T13:52:10.312-07:00April's Progress

Also, since it is now March, I am starting my fundraising for my MS walk. My cousin has this disease and I truly enjoy raising as much as I can for this cause. If anyone is interested in sponsoring me they can visit the MS website and go under my name.
Here is my second finish of this year! With my husband at work today I was able to stitch the afternoon away! I managed to squeeze in some housework as well and even got a small project ready to start tomorrow at work.

Hope you all have a good weekend and Happy Stitching!!Trinahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05992277538747855928noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5403819973604955240.post-17770120165099751242015-02-08T15:09:00.000-08:002015-02-08T15:09:44.249-08:00Mojo missing againWell, the stitching mojo is missing again. A few months ago, my father was diagnosed with Stage 4 Mesothelioma. He is doing chemotherapy and was given a year with that treatment - 4 months without. Needless to say my family and I were devastated. I know that none of us know how long we have but a man who is in perfect health otherwise at 73 should be allowed to think he has more time than this. My father is a very strong man and he has a positive attitude which will help him deal with this but there are still hard days ahead.

I guess around the time my father was diagnosed my stitching mojo went south. I wanted to stich but couldn't bring myself to bring it out to work on. I love stitching and I have many projects that I want to get done but the desire fades so quickly. I know we all have times where stitching takes a backseat to life, jobs, family and what not but this has been so different. I have had the weekend off and had so much time to stitch and not a stitch has been done. I hope the mojo finds its way back because stitching does help me relax and what not.

I hope you all have been stitching up a storm and here's hoping to a return of the mojo.

This was a cute pattern that I did for my friend, Tammy for her birthday. I believe it is by Stoney Creek and I had to wait until she got it and then I could post it. She loves it and it was fun to do this for her!
I saw a picture on Facebook of someone who is on the last 3 pages of this design and boy does that help to motivate a girl! I hope to work on this as much as possible and show more progress over time.

Stay tuned for pictures later and Happy Stitching!Trinahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05992277538747855928noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5403819973604955240.post-3610508083490961722015-01-13T15:41:00.001-08:002015-01-13T15:41:50.883-08:00Life Goes On!Well, life goes on indeed. I haven't stitched much this year but it hasn't been for lack of mojo. There has been a minor setback in my family that has taken away some of my desire to stitch. I know that life is what you make it and that there are no guarantees and that you need to make the most of things. It has been getting better day by day and I know that things will get a little better and that having outlets help more than you may realize.

I plan to get some work done on my Heaven and Earth Wizard of Oz. I think that seeing more of this develop will keep my incentive going.

Here's to everyone making the most of things and Happy Stitching!Trinahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05992277538747855928noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5403819973604955240.post-59281576458109077012015-01-01T19:37:00.001-08:002015-01-01T19:37:42.406-08:00Happy 2015!!!!Well, a very Happy New Year to everyone! With the old year out and the new one here - it's hard to imagine where the time goes. I always think of this time of the year as a great time to start fresh and see just what you can accomplish in a year. There is so much promise to the year and this year I have vowed to make every day count and to always take the time to remember what I have in my life and to embrace it all.

With a few projects that I hope to at least start - I know my my stitching schedule is quite full and I'm happy for that. There are just so many things that I want to do that I hope I can at least get some things done.

Here's to a wonderful year and I hope you all enjoy everything that comes your way!!
